Snow arrived this week and gave us an unexpected day off. On our return to school, there was still lots of snow lying around and we enjoyed our extended break building snowmen and of course, throwing snowballs! We got cold and a little wet but we generally don’t complain about snow.
This month, after lots of practice we performed our Christmas plays. The children in the Junior Room told the story of the Nativity (with a little twist) while the children in the Senior Room presented “Sleeping Beauty”. We all performed excellently and our audience was very appreciative indeed.
This week, “West Midland Children’s Theatre” visited our school to perform “Arabian Adventure”. The story, inspired by “Tales from the Arabian Nights”, is set in Kazabazoo where the beautiful Princess Samaris, daughter to the Sultan, outwits the marriage plans of the evil sorcerer Lord Ben Abu, who then declares war on the peaceful kingdom of…
On the last day of term, we were all really excited to dress up for Halloween. We had witches, ghosts, skeletons, TV characters and all sorts of superheroes. It’s a lot of fun choosing and dressing up in our costume for Dress-up Day and then seeing all of our friends dressed up in their chosen…

Our trails incorporated…
On a recent swimming trip, we took in a visit to Enniscrone Library. We really enjoyed browsing through all of the books and as our parents had previously completed Library Membership Forms, we were able to take home some books using our new library cards. While at the library and on the bus journey home,…

Our Music Generation Programme finished this week. This has been a most enjoyable programme and we have learned so much about singing, musical literacy, composing, musical instruments, etc. To mark our final day, we had a little concert. For the concert, the juniors sang three songs namely “Doe a Deer“, “My Big Brother” and “Ging…
For Easter this year, our teachers surprised us with their version of a McFlurry – a cup filled with mouth-watering vanilla ice-cream with added chocolate and honeycomb. It was just delicious and a great way to start the Easter holidays.
Bhí “Lá Glas” againn ar scoil chun Lá ‘le Pádraig a cheiliúradh. Chomhoibrigh gach duine le chéile agus ghléas na páistí is na múinteoirí in éadaí glasa. Ba bhreá an radharc é ar fad! Míle buíochas.
