Midland Theatre Performance

This week, “West Midland Children’s Theatre” visited our school to perform “Arabian Adventure”. The story, inspired by “Tales from the Arabian Nights”, is set in Kazabazoo where the beautiful Princess Samaris, daughter to the Sultan, outwits the marriage plans of the evil sorcerer Lord Ben Abu, who then declares war on the peaceful kingdom of Kazabazoo. Exiled from her homeland for bringing about such ruin, the Princess encounters many strange adventures which ultimately lead her home to fulfil a prophesy and rescue her parents and kingdom from the clutches of Lord Ben Abu and his evil magic powers. This was a thoroughly enjoyable and funny show with many opportunities for audience participation including acting roles as handmaidens and soldiers. The acting was brilliant with the three actors all playing multiple roles with little difficulty and amazing professionalism. Perhaps, we could pick up a few tips from them to use in our upcoming Christmas plays.
