We are very proud to introduce our newly elected Student Council. These students have been chosen by their classmates to represent student voice and help make our school an even better place for everyone.
The Student Council encourages children to speak up, share their ideas and know that their opinions matter. Council members listen to their classmates, ensure everyone has a chance to be heard, and share information back with their peers. They support school activities and events, promote kindness, fairness and respect and act as positive role models while working together as a team. The Student Council plays an important role in supporting the aims of our ‘Bí Cineálta’ policy by promoting:
- Kindness and respect in how we speak to and treat one another.
- Positive behaviour, where children feel safe, supported and cared for.
- A sense of belonging, so every child feels part of our school community.
The Student Council will also help our school to grow and improve by sharing students’ ideas about what is working well and what could be even better. This ensures that students play an active role in shaping school life.
We congratulate all members of our new Student Council and thank them for taking on this important responsibility. We look forward to seeing their ideas in action and the positive difference they will make in our school this year.
