Earlier this week, we went on our school tour to Westport House and we really enjoyed all the fun activities. First of all, there was the great adrenaline rush as we took to the ‘Giant Swing’. It was both scary and amazing but we absolutely loved it. Next, we were taken on a tour of…
Earlier, this week, West Midlands’ Children’s Theatre Company visited our school to perform, Sigurd and the Dragon. It was an amazing show and we marveled at the fact that 3 actors could play so many different roles in the same performance. Some of our pupils got to act in the show too and we hope…
Easter always brings the expectation of an Easter Egg hunt and this year, after beating our hands sore at our drumming workshop, we were delighted to get out into the cool March breeze to ‘hunt’ for our eggs. Obviously, we’ve got very good at ‘hunting’ because all the eggs were gathered in record time. Nonetheless,…
To celebrate St. Patrick’s Day, we had our annual Go Green Day. It was wonderful to witness the effort made by everyone and ‘green’ was certainly everywhere. We hope everyone has a brilliant weekend as we remember our patron saint.

Of course, this news was greeted with creams of delight as we love going on outings with our school friends. When we arrived at Funny Bones, we quickly exited the bus and hurried inside. Then, after…
Last week, we were delighted to wake up to a winter wonderland. During the morning, further snow fell and we were so excited when, eventually, we heard, Am Sosa. We raced outside and busied ourselves building snowmen and throwing the odd snow ball. We got wet and cold but we really didn’t care as we…
It was wonderful to return to hosting Christmas plays this year. The junior children told the nativity story with a few extra characters from space to add to the drama while the seniors told the story of The Pied Piper. We were all just amazing and we made our parents and teachers very proud indeed!
Earlier this month, we participated in the carepark.ie programme. Through this programme, residents in nursing homes are connected with volunteers who will send them a little gift to brighten up their Christmas. A separate programme is run for schools and young people who send a letter/card/drawing instead of a gift. We created lovely cards as…
Last week, we were thrilled to host a book fair in our school. On Monday, the books arrived in rather cool moveable trolleys and by lunchtime, we were ready for a browse. There were books of many different genres so it took a while to get around on them all especially when we were tempted…
