We really enjoyed listening to ourselves on “Faith Alive” on Sunday, 3rd June. It was great to play a part in Bishop Fleming’s project “Be a Link in the Chain for Change”. Thank you to Sister Patricia, Monica Morley and Midwest Radio who all provided us with this wonderful opportunity.

We discussed climate change, deforestation, pollution and excessive spending, all of which are important themes of the encyclical. Pope…
We had a real fun day today at the Gaelic Blitz in Enniscrone. We played hurling and Gaelic. It was great to meet and play with other kids from local schools and of course we all really enjoyed the treats in Easkey on the way home.
The classroom got a little hot today as we experimented with heat. We tried out lots of experiments and we discovered that molecules move faster in hot water and that materials expand when heated. We also learned that our spiral snake moved frantically about because hot air rises. We even created our own hot air balloon.
This week we got very busy exploring our past as we collected artefacts relevant to our own personal history. At school, we enjoyed the experience of putting all our objects on display to be admired and discussed by our classmates. We learned a lot about ourselves and each other in the process.
