As usual, we have been ‘as busy as bees‘ working on our literacy skills. We loved our book chats on our latest novels, i.e. You’re a bad Man Mr. Gum, Dancing Bear, Midnight Pirates and Independence: War in Ireland 20 – 21 November 1920. We enjoyed writing and debating persuasive texts about why Alfie from ‘Demon Dentist‘ by David Walliams should go to the dentist and we also worked on procedural texts by writing procedures based on topics of interest to us, e.g. How to tackle in Rugby, How to feed a calf, How to solo a ball, How to test your bloods, How to plait hair, How to cast a fishing net, How to plant a flower, How to make tea, etc.
