This year, we again dressed in our favourite book character to celebrate ‘World Book Day’. It was a lot of fun greeting our friends in the morning and admiring all the wonderful costumes. In the afternoon, we participated in a live story writing lesson. First of all, we used mood boards to document all about reading, e.g. what does reading feel like? where we like to read? how we like to read? where we want to read? and a ‘need to read’ list. Then we looked at story starters, characters, interesting vocabulary and the development of a story before writing our own amazing story about ‘The Magic Library’. Later, we really enjoyed reading our story to the class.
