This term, we are working on learning to play the tin whistle. Already, we have explored the stave and we are using our newly-acquired knowledge on reading music to play lots of simple (and not so simple) tunes. Geraldine, our SNA, has also entertained us with a few tunes from her vast repertoire and we even had one of our pupils dance a reel to accompany Geraldine’s excellent playing. We really are enjoying learning to play the tin whistle and it is good to be able to play a traditional Irish instrument.
