Last week, two firemen, from Enniscrone Fire Station, visited our classroom to talk to us about fire safety. We watched a very interesting presentation which told us all about preventing fires and what to do in the event of a fire. In particular, we learned about the importance of families working together to plan an escape route. After the firemen left, we completed some work in the fire safety booklet which they gave to us and, we also practised our school escape route by conducting a fire drill. Each year, many people die as a result of fires so it is important to be aware of all aspects of fire safety.
