Last term, we got very busy with mapping in geography. We worked on the counties, and physical features of Ireland including mountains, rivers, lakes, islands, bays, headlands, etc. and we completed individual maps and large scale collaborative maps showing all these features. We also explored rivers, including the journey of a river, and we completed world maps showing all the major rivers in the world. Without doubt, mapping is an essential skill and it is very important to familiarise ourselves with the landforms and bodies of water which can be found in and around our country and the world.
