Recently, we participated in a drumming workshop with Barra during which we discovered different ways of making sounds while learning lots about the elements of music, including rhythm, harmony, texture, timbre, dynamics and tempo. We also worked on recalling, answering and inventing rhythmic patterns using body percussion and drums. We really loved our drumming workshop and, hopefully, we’ll be able to use our learning in other areas of the music curriculum, going forward.
