We are delighted to have been chosen as a creative school for the years 2022/2023 and 2023/2024. As part of this programme, we have been awarded funding by the Arts Council to promote creative opportunities in our school. For the year 2022/2023, we will be consulting with our board of management, staff, parents and pupils with a view to ascertaining what creative experiences they would like to be provided in our school. Then, based on the feedback received, we will write a ‘Creative Schools’ plan and begin the process of sourcing artists and creative opportunities. Our pupils recently completed the consultative stage and they enjoyed presenting their ideas to Leslie (our Creative Schools associate) when she visited our school.
