It was with great delight that we heard of the return of Cumann na mBunscol competitions which had been postponed for two years due to COVID-19. Our first round of matches were played blitz-style in Scarden and as we won all our matches we were happy to return to Scarden for the semi-final. Our boys and girls played really well and so secured their place in the final which was held in Markievicz Park. In the final, the girls played a great game and were thrilled to lift the cup while the boys, despite a brave fight, had to concede victory to a very talented Banada team. And so, we experienced both victory and defeat on the day but nonetheless, we are really proud of both teams.
