Fun in our New Playground

Monday, 5th December was a really special day in our school as this was our first day playing in our new playground. Everyone was so excited as we raced outside at break-time. It was so much fun trying out all of the playground equipment. We walked slowly and carefully on the balance beam. The “Clatter Bridge” was easy to master. We scrambled over the “Net & Log Up & Over” before struggling to stay on the “Rock & Roll Log”. Of course the seesaw was lots of fun as was the springer. The “Log Traverse” was a little challenging at first but nothing compared to the monkey bars. We were sad when break-time ended but the new equipment had given us plenty to talk about and later as it was such a beautiful day, we had an extra hour at lunch-time just playing in our new playground. Not surprisingly, we had a lot of aches and pains for for the following few days but we didn’t complain as we know that we are really lucky to have a playground right outside our front door.
