We had a really enjoyable learning experience at Sligo Woodland School. While there, we worked with Trisha and Naomi, who are both very energetic and enthusiastic and so very motivational to work with. Trisha taught us lots of skills about fire lighting, hut building, ‘chiselling for treasure’ and using a bow and arrow while Naomi showed us how to create rather spectacular prints and wall-hangings using the natural dyes from the plants and flowers which were growing around us. We finished off a wonderful trip sitting around a camp fire feasting on delicious s’mores and on the way home we had another little stop for food. What an exciting and memorable way to end a busy schoolyear and to say ‘goodbye’ to our 6th class!
