As an SPHE activity, we were delighted to welcome Louise from the ‘Road Safety Authority’ to our school. During the presentation, we learned all about pedestrian safety and how to safely cross the road. Louise also spoke about safe cycling and the importance of correctly-sized bikes and helmets. She also pointed out the bicycle checks we should carry out prior to going out cycling. As we live in a rural area, Louise placed some emphasis on safety around agricultural vehicles and on farms. She concluded her presentation by talking about safety when travelling by car. Hopefully, this presentation will make us more aware of road safety and help to keep us safe on our roads.
