We love our history in the senior classroom so after exploring lots of topics in Irish history, we decided to create our own timelines based on Ireland in the 18th and 19th Century. We used a lot of history textbooks to research all the important events during this period and their corresponding date. Then after writing some facts on each event, we constructed our timelines. We concluded this activity by presenting our timelines to the class. This was a very enjoyable and useful activity and we now have another timeline to refer to when an event or date pops up in the classroom.
