Surveys and Data Charts

This month, we have been working on Data. First we headed outside to our school gate where we did a survey on the passing traffic, ie. type of vehicle, colour of vehicle and manufacturer of the vehicle. Then we presented this information on bar charts in our copies. Next we did our own individual surveys on favourite animal, favourite drink, favourite author, favourite car, etc.  and after presenting this information in bar charts in our copies, we went on the laptops and after inputting the results of our surveys, we quickly produced some lovely line graphs in addition to both vertical and horizontal bar charts. Certainly, the computer makes light work of data charts!
